August Potluck We had a great turn out at the August Potluck this year with almost 40 people in attendance. The potluck wrapped up the Bluebird monitoring season. Thank you to everyone who came and shared their stories from monitoring the trails this season. We hope to see everyone again next season! Monthly Programs After a short summer hiatus we will resume our normal monthly programs for September and October. There will not be a program in November. In December we will end the year with our Holiday Potluck and Program. Please check the back page for dates, times, and details. We have been holding our bird seed sale for over 40 years. Proceeds from the bird seed sale help continue conservation and environmental education in Vermilion County through the Outdoor School and help fund other local projects. We are proud to be funding local outdoor education programs and projects and we hope you are too. Please help us continue these programs and enjoy birds in your backyard as a result. Enjoy a lovely summer evening, Friday, July 29

Looking for a great way to enjoy one of these lovely summer evenings? On Friday, July 29th, Middlefork Audubon is planning a trip to the Oakwood area (between Champaign and Danville) to view hummingbirds at a private home followed by a stop down the road at Sleepy Creek Vineyard for a refreshing slushie or glass of wine. Bring your binoculars, a lawn chair, and a picnic basket if you want goodies to go with your wine or, Friday nights it's "Wieners and Wine" at the winery- they provide the hot dogs, fixin's and the fire, it's free but they ask you to buy a drink while there.
